Well, the Judge campaign is going after liberal Democrat David Greenfield in a recent press release posted online. In it, Mr. Judge takes a cue from those of us who have already noticed the inherent similarities between Mr. Greenfield’s recent legal challenges and once wannabe State Senator (now President) Obama.
Here is the story:
DAVID GREENFIELD AND VITO LOPEZ MACHINE USE OBAMA-STYLE TACTICS TO HIJACK ELECTION
The Jonathan Judge for City Council campaign has released the following statement:
“David Greenfield has taken all possible steps to limit the choices of the voters in the upcoming Special Election by using every form of chicanery in the Democratic machine’s political handbook.
“Greenfield has used the connections of Democratic Party boss Vito Lopez to eliminate his competition entirely. He has secured Carl Landicino of Borchert, Genovesi, LaSpina & Landicino, P.C., a frequent Lopez lackey, to represent him in his frivolous lawsuits against the other candidates. Mr. Greenfield is the only candidate that has brought any lawsuits in this race. In so doing, Mr. Greenfield is wasting the taxpayers’ dime and the voters’ time rather than engaging in a serious campaign to gain community support, as Jonathan has.
“Mr. Greenfield claims that the law must be followed and that every candidate must have a valid number of signatures. The Judge campaign agrees. For that reason, we believe every signature collected by Mr. Judge should be considered in an open and fair forum and not in the undemocratic manner Mr. Greenfield has used. Mr. Judge has collected far above the number of legal signatures required, and the voters have the right to see his name appear on the ballot.
“Mr. Greenfield has used Obama-style legal tactics to undermine this race. The Judge campaign believes the pressure must be getting to Mr. Greenfield and that he does not believe he can win without knocking people off the ballot.
“This lawsuit against Jonathan is without merit, and those supporting him condemn the political tactics being taken by Mr. Greenfield and the old hands backing him. He is distracting from the political process and hurting our district by reminding our neighbors just what injustices machine politics can produce.
“Mr. Greenfield should withdraw these lawsuits and let the voters decide who the next councilman will be in the 44th Council District.”

Ouch! That’s gotta hurt!
We’re glad, however, that the cold-blooded Brooklyn Democratic machine is finally being challenged for the corrupt entity it is.
Anything that questions their power or influence is a good thing.
We commend Mr. Judge for his willingness to go after these Democratic creatures and wish him well.
