Recognizing America's Greatness

Earlier this month, The New York Young Republican Club Inc. had the pleasure of welcoming Nick Adams as a guest speaker, all the way from Australia. Nick is the former deputy Mayor of the municipality of Ashfield. Nick was first elected as councilor at the ripe old age of 19, the first Conservative to be elected in the city's North Ward for 20 years.

Nick recently completed a speaking tour of America, stopping at local political, social, and veterans clubs that heard him speak about the greatness of America and American ingenuity. Nick's message: American's don't have anything to be ashamed of, despite what our president and others continue to tell the rest of the world.

"My speaking tour across America was a stunning success," Nick says. "Americans were hungry for a message of optimism and a reminder of how much they have to be proud of, and the principles that have served them so well. It was all the more resonant given that it was a message delivered by a non- American. Someone proud and passionate of their own country, but with a complete, unshakeable admiration and love of what America is, has done and stands for."

Further, Nick is planning on writing a book about his travels through our great land, and about American exceptionalism...

"I consider myself the de Tocqueville of my generation," he says. "It is time to stand up to the global inane and inate anti-Americanism, derived from corrosive envy, and put the record straight as someone that is not American. The world would be lost without America and her principles of freedom, liberty, justice and democracy, and her willingness to liberate people around the world, at enormous cost."

It is sad that so many in this country do not have the same sense of patriotism for America that Nick does, but we should thank him for standing up against anti-Americanism and wish him well in his endeavors, both book-related and beyond.

Nick Adams - trully inspirational
written by San Pedro , August 03, 2010

I had the privilege and honor of hearing Nick speak on his earlier tour of America. He is without doubt one of the best orators in the world.

His honestly, clarity of thought and bravery in tackling head on these leftist commy bastards is trully inspirational.

Nick is not only the de Tocqueville of his generation but he embodies everything the Enlightenment stands for.

God bless.
