"A pint of beer at an Irish pub on St. Patrick’s Day will set you back a few bucks, but if you want to spend March 17 with Chuck Schumer, it’ll set you back a few more bones.

Schumer will be the guest of lobbyist Tony Podesta and his wife, Heather, next Wednesday for a fundraiser at The Source (co-hosts include Izzy Klein, Andy Lewin and Gwen Mellor) — and tickets range from $1,000 to $5,000. Funds go toward Schumer’s reelection effort.

Podesta has become known for cleverly crafted titles for his events. There was the “Empire State of Mind” gathering for Kirsten Gillibrand — and “The Lake Effect” for Kathy Dahlkemper. And for New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo: “A Big Apple for Lunch.”

So what’s the moniker for Podesta’s St. Patrick’s Day bash for Schumer? “A Shamrock Grows in Brooklyn.”"
